This palace, which had a surface area of 16,500 square metres and a height of 13 metres, consisted of a ground floor divided into several very large aisles which were of the greatest interest given the character of the objects exhibited there and which related to backpacking and animal-drawn transport; railways and tramways; fixed and mobile equipment, the organisation of these services, machine depots, motor vehicles, river and maritime transport, shipbuilding, air navigation, the post office, telegraphs and telephones, and travel goods.
