Palace of General Councils - Expo Barcelona 1929

Palace of General Councils at the Exhibition Expo Barcelona 1929
Architect(s) : Enrique Sagnier

The General Councils, which, as is well known, constitute the intermediary Administrative Body between the municipalities and the State, have erected in the Plaza de San Jorge, a palace with elegant lines and balanced dimensions in the Plateresque Gothic style.

The successful composition of this building, with its lines of obvious distinction, lends a powerful attraction to its location, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the exhibition grounds.

It is intended to contain the different contributions of the Spanish councils that have brought it through graphics, maps and models, a catalogue of the most important services that are commissioned by the Ministry of Justice.
