Near the thirty-seventh street entrance there is a poultry show, with an international laying contest, champion hens from twenty-eight States, the Dominion of Canada, and four other nations competing.
The laying competition started a month before the show opens, and will be completed two days before it ends.
In addition to the laying contest, there is an exhibition of specimens of unusual varieties of domestic, wild, land and water birds.
