Beethoven (or Pêcheries) Gate - Expo Paris 1937

Beethoven (or Pêcheries) Gate at the Exhibition Expo Paris 1937
Architect(s) : Demenais

It is a clear opening onto the banks of the Seine, onto the multicoloured vision, beyond the waters, of the Regional Centre.

A few pale tiles, which seem to be eaten by the sun, underline and complete the pure line of this door, which is that of a southern fishing port. Shells decorate it; at the top of a turret a bell tinkles.
