It included the departments of Gironde, Lot-et-Garonne, Gers, Landes and the arrondissement of Bergerac.
This region owes everything to the land and the maritime location of its capital city: Bordeaux.
As soon as you entered the fan-shaped façade, you entered a large hall where the Welcome Office was located and where models, photographs and dioramas of the major current achievements and projects of the Bordeaux region and neighbouring departments were displayed (Cité Universitaire, Bourse du Travail, Parc des Sports, Port Autonome and Port des Pétroles, shipyards, etc.).
The Girondin pavilion brought together everything relating to the development of the Gironde and Bergerac regions; the Gascon pavilion, the resources of the Landes forest and the artistic and gastronomic productions.
A restaurant was placed at the end of the path.
