The architects of the Haiti pavilion gave it a tropical character.
A hall with furniture from Haiti, painted scenes and floral motifs from the country and a large carved subject, a diorama of Port-au-Prince and the Château de Sans-Souci, were displayed.
The first floor was decorated with carved wooden panels and displayed local products such as coffee, white rum, fruits, samples of precious woods, objects made with these woods or with tortoiseshell or "pite" (vegetable fibre).
Haiti is a country where tourism is developing day by day as some of the documents presented testified.
