The pavilion reproduced a multi-gabled dwelling, a kind of Cape Colony homestead.

Dioramas showed the Union's activity in the field of mining and agriculture.

Various industries were represented by samples of gold, diamonds, metals, fruit, wool, leather, wood, etc.
