Before the Invalides bridge, two pavilions were dedicated to building.

The first exhibited models, drawings, installations concerning masonry, plumbing and roofing, heating and ventilation, painting and glazing, and public works.

In the second one, all the services were electrified in order to demonstrate the usefulness of electricity in an elegant pleasure house; it included, on the ground floor, a bar and, on the first floor, installed rooms: bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc...
