Asbestos - Expo Paris 1937

Asbestos at the Exhibition Expo Paris 1937
Architect(s) : Scob

It is in the Asbestos Pavilion that the public must go to examine in detail all the operations that enable asbestos rock to be transformed into the most diverse objects, all of which benefit from the essential properties of asbestos; incombustibility, rot-proofing, textility, resistance to acids and atmospheric agents, perfect insulation for electricity, very good thermal insulation, and exceptional acoustical qualities.

The Asbestos Pavilion is built with materials supplied by the industrialists who use this material and its cinema room is entirely lined with non-combustible asbestos fabrics allowing a remarkable acoustic.
