This monument consisted of a sort of Trajan column 50 metres high and about 5 metres in diameter, with a grey-green bronze patina, all covered with olive leaves and bearing the names of the great apostles of Peace in gold letters.

Around the column was a hemicycle of a building with very simple lines. In this true sanctuary were evoked the horrors of war and the efforts of all the societies of the world that fight for peace.

An exedra grouping the flags of the 42 nations participating in the Exhibition served as a backdrop to the immense perspective that you could see from the terrace as soon as you entered.
