Christian Witness Pavilion and Children's Center - Expo Seattle 1962

Christian Witness Pavilion and Children's Center at the Exhibition Expo Seattle 1962
Architect(s) : Durham, Anderson & Freed

The Christ's Witness pavilion on the Friendship Gallery had the dual role of presenting a message of hope for the future and also served as the Exhibition's Children's Centre.
The Children's Centre was designed for younger children aged three to seven. Fun and educational displays and demonstrations provided a religious atmosphere in which to study and play.

The second role of the pavilion was an audio-visual presentation open to all. Visitors walked through a large auditorium where a seven-minute sound and light presentation dramatised the message of Christ that the only optimism in a world living with a cobalt bomb was God.
