More than 800 agricultural products, raw materials and industries are on display in the exhibition organised by the Republic of Korea in its pavilion on the west side of the international zone.
Displayed in windows, on tables and around the walls of the Korean pavilion, these products represent both ancient and modern ways of doing things in Korea. There are also expressions of the nation's artistic life that have been conquered for centuries.
An important presentation is made around the art of lacquering. Korean craftsmen are renowned throughout the world for their artistry in applying lacquer to wooden utensils and ornaments. Another Korean craft is presented, that of bowls, copper vases, and plates.
There are 80 posters on wooden and porcelain objects, 70 posters on chemistry, 50 posters on fibres and 40 on marine and machinery.
