Rose Gardens - Expo Osaka 1970

The Expo Rose Gardens were born from an idea of the Expo'67 host city. The Rotary Club of Montreal proposed the gardens. 50 varieties of roses from around the world were collected in a Rotary project. 10,000 plants, carefully tended by the Rotary Club of Osaka, went into the gardens. Some on the north side of the Symbols area, others on the east side of the textile pavilion.
