The Balearic Islands: Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, located in the centre of the western Mediterranean, have a special attraction thanks to their privileged geographical position, climate, variety of landscapes and the traditional hospitality of their inhabitants, making them the most important tourist destination in the Mediterranean.
The balance between the greatest respect for our environment and economic development has made it possible to combine the protection of 35% of our territory with the development of an incomparable tourist offer and an industry based on traditional activities.
The pavilion also brought you closer to our historical and cultural future, as a multicoloured mosaic of the civilisations that, over the centuries, have enriched us, highlighting in particular our most important contributions to human discoveries.
