The 5th Avenue was intended to pay tribute to Seville as a river port.

The west of the avenue symbolised the origin of the water coming from the mountains, while the east symbolised the river flowing into the sea.

This representation was symbolised by a 300 metre long and 6 metre high glass wave wall, over which water flowed continuously.

All along the bottom of the glass wall of water was a basin which was surrounded by successive layers of paving stones as if to characterise the different layers of the earth.

This wall, which surrounded the restaurant area, was a refreshing and restful place for visitors.
