Bhutan - Expo Hanover 2000

This traditional temple, the Lhakhang, housed Buddhist-inspired arts and crafts.

The temple was made of wood and wattle and daub and opened onto a courtyard. Monks were there to display and demonstrate their skills.

The first floor was reserved for religious subjects: Buddhist-inspired wall paintings, terracotta flower sculpture, and the ground floor and courtyard for crafts such as paper techniques and lemon oil production.
