The supporting construction of the pavilion consisted of 20 pillars of tree structure, on which the roof rested and which appeared to be very light.

The lower part was made of steel and the upper part was a combination of wood and guadua, a variety of South American bamboo.

The country's presentation, entitled "Technology, Environment and Development", consisted of demonstrating how nature and development can be reconciled in Colombia, as well as showing the diversity of its flora and fauna, its climate and its cultures.

Special emphasis was placed on indigenous cultures, the development of indigenous science and business, presented through interactive media.
