Bangladesh -

The pavilion showcased the way of life of the people of Bangladesh, their civilisation and history of Bangladesh by displaying artefacts and showing audio-visual presentations.
Agriculture is at the centre of Bangladesh's economic activities, and its exports are largely due to tea and jute. Many of the exhibits were related to seafood and to illustrate tourism activities, reproductions of archaeological and ecological sites were presented.
An important attraction was the rickshaws for which Dhaka is famous. The rickshaws are an environmentally friendly means of transport and contribute to social interaction, which many cities should learn from.
Through such exhibitions, visitors to the pavilion could see how third world countries like Bangladesh are trying to lift themselves out of poverty and catch up with the new world in terms of industrial and infrastructural development.
