Turkey - Expo Aichi 2005

Turkey and Japan share a common Eastern philosophy of life and nature. The Turkish pavilion focused on the problem of rapid deforestation of the earth due to destructive development and climate change. The pavilion was built with recyclable timber. It was a traditional Turkish-Islamic structure with a large space, described with a geometric pattern like snow crystals. After the end of EXPO 2005, the pavilion was dismantled and its parts were reconditioned to serve as materials for the History Museum in Istanbul.
