With the theme "Vietnam - Culture and Natural Identities," the Vietnam pavilion focused on nature, environment and culture, and showcased the Vietnamese living in osmosis with nature. The hemispherical pavilion, measuring 9 meters from the ceiling, was made of steel wrapped with bamboo and covered with white silk. There were two floors inside the hemisphere. The first floor was the reception and exhibition area, where some typical ancient houses were displayed, along with village communal houses, pictures, costumes and the most popular images for tourists. The second floor included an area showing traditional village products and crafts such as handmade copies on wooden tablets, lacquered paintings, embroidered pictures, and wood and stone inlays. These products had a high cultural value. Vietnam is listed as one of the top 10 countries with the most diverse and richest ecological system. This indicates that many things in Vietnam - from means of production to lifestyle, culture and customs - are closely related to nature, and is one of the most outstanding identities of Vietnam that constitute the main theme.
