Seto Japan Pavilion - Expo Aichi 2005

In the Seto Area National Pavilion, visitors can experience the harmony with nature that the Japanese have created since ancient times, applied in various aspects, such as disaster prevention, hygiene management, quality of life and efficient use of resources, and rediscover the enchantment of the soul in everyday life.

The wisdom, skills and soul of traditional Japan provide a guideline for solving problems that science and technology alone cannot solve, and the possibilities of creating a new rich and abundant lifestyle will be explored.

Nature Fusion Pavilion
The Seto Area National Pavilion is a nature fusion pavilion, incorporating traditional Japanese building methods.

It is characterised by its passive architecture, in harmony with the nature of the satoyama, with its use of fireproof wooden panels for the exterior walls or its natural air-conditioning thanks to a solar chimney which is also the symbol of this building.
