The Rain Man is the title of the exhibition that Lithuania is presenting at Expo Zaragoza 2008. Rain is associated with autumn and the colour blue, the characteristic colour of Lithuanian eyes, while water is also associated with transparency, harmony, purity and everything natural. For this reason, Lithuania has chosen rain as the emblem of its exhibition.
The main element of the pavilion is a large cube-shaped house with walls simulating falling rain. This house has a friendly rain god who will let the visitor pass if he or she does so with the best of intentions. Once inside, the visitor will find himself surrounded by rain that will show him wonderful views of Lithuania. The images will first appear on the visitors' heads so that they will feel immersed in the landscape. In the Rain House, seven wells will invite to look inside, each with different information about Lithuania, such as its history, economy and culture. The pavilion also houses a swimming pool with a hot and cold water fountain at the ends.
You can make art by mixing the two waters. The drawings made with the water are projected on the wall and copies of them are available.
