A fascinating experience. The Romanian pavilion offers visitors a unique approach to one of Europe's natural gems: the Danube Delta. To access the bowels of this natural space formed by its three arms before flowing into the Black Sea, the rooms have been equipped with the most advanced technology. The visitor enters a cybernetic space whose walls open onto a new dimension. Steam curtains serve as a screen for projections of the Delta universe. The three-dimensional technology creates a special dynamic in a setting dominated by water in its liquid and gaseous state. The images move to the rhythm of the four seasons and the viewer can choose the landscape he or she prefers: sunny, stormy, under your early morning lights or amidst the islands of reeds floating on the surface. For this purpose, Romania has created a splendid simulation based on six totem consoles which, thanks to a system of touch screens, allow access to a map of the delta. Curiously, this map is located under the visitor's feet. Above, a camera in the centre of the dome captures the exhibition area and displays the images of each visitor in the perspective of the Delta with an explanatory graphic. A visual and sensory treat.
