The Italian Pavilion presents a panorama of scientific, technological and civil engineering activities that highlight the role played by Italy in all aspects of the hydraulic sector: dams, canals, aqueducts, wastewater treatment, desalination, potabilisation, etc. On the other hand, the space that houses these representations of modern technology refers to a common historical past that includes the great constructions of the Roman Empire, the medieval works of water conveyance and the Renaissance works of Leonardo's hydraulic systems.
An interactive map placed along the walls and equipped with holograms and plasma screens to which visitors can ask questions is the packaging and leitmotif of all the material, which alternates examples of innovative high technology with brilliant solutions from the past. The Italian Pavilion also houses a top-class restaurant, where the characteristics of the national cuisine and its regional varieties shine. The panoramic view from the restaurant's glass window is unique, encompassing the Ebro and the surrounding facilities. From here you can watch the constant flow of visitors.
