Ecuador - Expo Zaragoza 2008
The main objective of the content proposal for the Ecuador stand is to bring the visitor closer to the forms of symbolic-cultural representation and collective evaluation schemes of the nationalities and peoples of Ecuador that have been organised for their particular relationship with the different water sources in: Mountain, river and sea peoples: the aim is to socialise the symbolism and cultural practices in the use and handling of water, both domestic and ritual, of the nationalities and peoples of Ecuador, which reflect their close relationship and respect for the element and the resource. The theme of culture and cultural diversity will be presented on the screens and in a video produced by the Ecuadorian team for the Expo. The contents will take into account the most transcendent aspects of the indigenous, mestizo and afro-descendant peoples of Ecuador. Among the museum resources, we will find maps of Ecuador from the coastal regions, but also from the sierra, the islands and the Amazon. You will also find abundant information on Ecuador's hydrography and maps showing the different ecosystems of a country full of contrasts.
