The islands of San Cristóbal and Nieves, steep peaks and blue bays, embody the idyllic image of a tropical paradise. Covered by dense vegetation, both are surrounded by beautiful beaches and spectacular seabeds. Its inhabitants, most of them descendants of Europeans and Africans, are hospitable, peaceful and eager to share the wonders of their territory, a proposition that visitors to the Expo can enjoy in this pavilion. The San Cristóbal and Nieves hall shows the variety of its unique, almost untouched ecosystem, which includes coral reefs, steep cliffs, extinct volcanoes, dense rainforests and more. The coastline is full of small coves of fine white sand speckled with coconut trees and beaches of volcanic origin where the sand takes on an intense and brilliant black colour, and its shallow and warm waters offer particularly beautiful underwater depths. On the other hand, the public has the opportunity to get to know the cultural fusion of the islands, between the African rhythm and the British sobriety, which can be felt in the art, dance, beliefs and ancestral customs, as well as in its gastronomy and the fascinating stories told by its inhabitants.
