The latest technological advances have enabled the Republic of Malta to design a state-of-the-art pavilion. The use of cylinder-shaped panels (allowing for 360 degree viewing) converts the experience into an imposing sensory shock. The island of Malta divided its space into three sectors and created an encompassing atmosphere. A ten-minute audio-visual projected onto a 'water curtain' introduces the visitor to the theme of the exhibition. Panels with high-resolution photographic and exhibition images 'float' in this area to create a warm atmosphere. The second area of the exhibition allows access to the innovative technology of cylindrical panels, containing 360 degree visual presentations.
On two pedestals, the visitor is surrounded by Maltese landscapes displayed on two large high-resolution plasma screens; images recorded with a special camera that allow the visitor to enjoy a unique presentation. The third area of the pavilion offers small audio-visual presentations on the country's current social, cultural, artistic, financial and economic reality.
