Oman has divided its pavilion into nine zones, five of which are distinguished by colour, from the gold of the dunes to the green of the oases. From the white of the waterfalls to the blue of the sea or the grey of sustainability. In this pavilion you can see how the country is developing ideas for the future in harmony with tradition in order to make better use of water. The green zone is dedicated to the cultivation of rocky and sandy areas, where the visitor can receive information on the different methods of water distribution and an audiovisual presentation on water research in wadi, dams and falaj irrigation, which allow the establishment of different cultivation methods. The white zone explains water controls to avoid flooding and how to take advantage of aquifers.
The blue zone refers to the more than 3,000 kilometres of coastline where new residential and tourist areas have been created, where the best technologies have been used to contribute to sustainability, such as desalination plants. In addition, seven audiovisual minutes are presented (in a room with a capacity of 30 people) during which it is possible to know the path of water and its influence in life in Oman.
