The pavilion of the Autonomous City of Ceuta in Expo Zaragoza 2008 offers the opportunity to visually enjoy the incredible beauty of a city with such a rich heritage and culture. A marine city, multicultural, modern and cosmopolitan, bathed by two seas that lead to its beaches, the central theme of this exhibition: water. A beautiful city, which awaits all visitors with open arms. Ceuta, the Gateway to Africa, a unique city in which to feel the aromas of two different seas mingling, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, with the exotic scent of another continent, Africa.
The people in charge of the pavilion will try to convey to the visitors that the traditions, the gastronomic variety, the parties and the modern facilities do not hide the precious heritage of civilizations that have left innumerable traces in a millenary history: the Punic, Roman, Bantu, Merinid or Portuguese, among others.
