Belgium - European Union - Expo Shanghai 2010
The main building of the pavilion adopts the structure of the brain cell, which represents the metaphor of Belgium and Europe, their enormous contribution to the development of human civilisation and Belgium's role in the fusion of the three traditional cultures of Europe.
In the second half of 2010, Belgium will hold the EU presidency. An exhibition area 1,000m from the pavilion is dedicated to the EU, presenting the history, current situation, policies and achievements of the EU.
- A fantastic chocolate factory offers visitors the chance to see the chocolate making process and taste the products for free.
- Diamond designers from all over the world will bring their masterpieces.
