South Africa - Expo Shanghai 2010
A simple form creates a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. The archway stands under the huge "umbrella" form of the pavilion. The varied colours and lines show an extraordinary vitality, which represents the cultural diversity and the confidence to create a better life of South Africa, a country of new emergence.
- The representative framed drawings are highlighted by the halo. Cushions with zebra designs were placed on the chairs, presenting the natural landscape.
- The screens of all colours are installed in the important outdoor area. Images and sounds show the culture of South Africa.
- A patio, decorated with round ostrich leather cushions, surrounded by beams, represents the traditional "grid village" and the conception of South African culture - "human treatment".
