The pavilion consists of four cubes forming a cross-shaped architectural plan, seen from above, just like the cross design on the Swedish national flag. The four cubes are connected by elevated corridors.

The pavilion's exhibition keywords are "sustainable development, innovation and trade", presenting above all Sweden's measures to improve environmental quality and the importance of increased trade in new technologies.

- If the pavilion's exterior surfaces were spread out, they would form an artistic map of Stockholm's city centre.

- The fairy tale hero Pippi Langstrumpf, as one of the pavilion's guides, will lead visitors on an interesting journey.

- Visitors can learn in depth where the Nobel Prize comes from.
