Sky Tower - Expo Yeosu 2012
The former cement silos have been transformed into the Tower of Heaven.
This cultural and artistic highlight of the exhibition is its largest building and is the "climax" of the exhibition. This building is equipped with a large number of harp-shaped pipes that can emit numerous melodies that can be heard throughout the exhibition.
This 55-metre high building is also an observation tower and offers a superb panorama of the entire exhibition grounds.
The tower is not only a musical instrument, but also a space for reflection on the philosophical values of sharing, helping and living together.
Inside, there is a multimedia exhibition on the sea and its resources that mankind exploits, as well as a presentation on seawater desalination techniques that will undoubtedly be useful to us in the near future, due to climate change and rampant pollution. To conclude this visit, desalinated water is offered to visitors to quench their thirst and prove the effectiveness of the process.
