On an inclined plane, boats, filled with passengers, were descending, with ever increasing speed, towards a small lake. The water opened up, gushed out white, digging a furrow where the boat slid. The boat then bounced off, amidst the laughter and cries of the passengers, who were soon on a small landing stage.
The opposing feelings of instinctive fear and reasoned security were the attraction of this dizzying fall into the water.
