Japanese Garden -

Japanese Garden at the Exhibition Expo Liege 1905

The Japanese garden adjoined and stretched over the gentle slope of a lake. There was nothing as amusing as these poplars, oaks and potted fir trees; one thought oneself suddenly transported to a land of Lilliput. Behind it was the little palace of Tunisia, and then, continuing along the path, one came across a low pavilion, painted in green, red and yellow and covered with grimacing masks, which housed the exhibition of the French Possessions of Asia.
