In the Kenyan pavilion, an aerial safari takes you on a journey of discovery through nature's own transport and communication networks.
In this country with its rugged terrain and fragile ecosystems, transport is a major problem. To protect its nature reserves, Kenya has developed a network of controlled access routes to national parks.

The photographic exhibition, Faces of Kenya, a montage of major photographers, shows how Kenyans use transport and communications to improve their lives.

Kenya is a country of contrasts. In the port of Mombasa, modern ships rub shoulders with ancient dhows. Known mainly for its wildlife, Kenya has just developed a fibre-optic telecommunications system and is now asserting itself internationally.

You can also admire a sculpture representing the famous Nairobi Thorn Tree, an ingenious system for leaving messages or making appointments.
