Located in the Blue Zone near the BC Pavilion, the Labatt-sponsored Expo Theatre features the biggest stars in pop, rock and jazz music. It is an outdoor, covered theatre that seats 4,200.
Two architectural firms, Aitken Smith Carter Partners of Vancouver and The Wade Williams Partnership of Victoria, worked on the design of this ultra-modern theatre, along with a few other firms.
Building consultants Bush Bolman and Associates designed the theatre's large vaulted roof, which is supported by two 52-metre long and two 32-metre long wooden beams.
Leonard Auerbach and Associates' theatre consultants divided the seating into four level and sloped zones and all patrons will have a clear view of the stage. Christopher Jaffee and Associates was responsible for the acoustics
