Cuba's national identity and special character are reflected in the country's pavilion, which presents a historical overview of the development of transport and communications and features contemporary achievements.

Five hundred years ago, Cuba was at the heart of Latin America's transport system and was at the forefront of the Spanish conquest of the New World.

Currently, the national development plan includes numerous projects for the development of air communications, road and rail networks, port facilities, and a permanent improvement of the country's infrastructure. Havana is also planning a metro system.

Thousands of Canadians spend their winter holidays in the sunshine of Cuba, the largest island in the Caribbean, with a population of ten million.
