The first train of the Dubai Metro has arrived at the new Expo 2020 Station, a 15-kilometre extension of the Dubai Metro that connects Jebel Ali Station with the Expo 2020 site, passing through Discovery Gardens and Dubai Investments Park.
Located at the western entrance to Expo 2020, the Expo 2020 Station provides direct access to the Dubai Exhibition Centre and the Dubai Expo 2020 site.
The Expo 2020 Station, which can accommodate a peak of 22,000 passengers per hour in each direction, is currently open only to Expo staff and those authorised to access the site. The public will be able to use it from 1 October 2021 when Expo opens.
