The World Expo Museum presents the only official museum and documentation center in the world entirely dedicated to the Expos and authorized by the BIE.
Dedicated to the history of Expos since the Great Exhibition of London in 1851, the World Expo Museum is the result of a cooperation agreement between the BIE and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
The World Expo Museum presents the history, creation and themes of the International Expos (World Fairs, Specialized Fairs, Horticultural Fairs and the Milan Triennial). It also highlights their historical impact, their physical significance and their dreams for the future, with the aim of "inheriting the legacy of the Expo and preserving the essence and continuity of the effect of the World Expo".
The pavilion recounts the history of the most famous exhibitions, the greatest inventions exhibited, the most outstanding architecture and the most memorable anecdotes, thanks to numerous models and explanatory panels.
