The UN Pavilion is designed to inspire many new advocates of the Organization to connect with its work, revealing and highlighting an open and accessible organization.
Inspired by the Expo 2020 theme "Connecting Minds, Creating Futures," it is organized around a central programmable space for events, presentations, discussions and meetings.
Surrounding exhibits also tell the stories and accomplishments of the UN - including its agencies, funds and programs - and most importantly, the people who benefit from its work.
These events and activities will inform, inspire and engage visitors to take effective action for a prosperous future, reflecting the values of multilateralism and highlighting the role of international cooperation and joint action in overcoming global challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change, as well as achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The pavilion dedicated to the UN is also part of its 75th anniversary celebrations, with United Nations Day - held annually on October 24 - set to focus next year on commemorating 75 years since the adoption of the UN Charter in 1945.
