It cost $50,000 and is 105 feet in diameter and 35 feet high.
Its central figure is a colossal statue of Moses, 15 feet high and at each of its four corners are statues 9 feet high, representing Charles Carroll, of Carrollton, Archbishop Carroll, Theobald Matthew and Commoner Barry.
It was dedicated on 4 July 1876.
