The Congo exhibition is located in a building between the left wing of the Palais du Trocadero and the barrier of the rue Franklin. Access to it is difficult and without an indicative inscription, the visitor would have difficulty in guessing that this bizarre square construction of dismountable iron with a tin roof is the pavilion of our colony; the excuse is that it is later to be used in Africa to house a colonial post.
The ground floor of the building is not closed, and contains samples of wood, objects, and a wooden car from the Congo.
The room on the first floor contains photographic collections of explorers' journeys, fabrics, the various products of the colony: ivory, coffee, rubber, etc.
