India (British) at the Exhibition Expo Paris 1900

The India Pavilion, representing a magnificent Indian palace, built in the Hindu style.

Green marble steps lead the public into a huge vestibule which gives access to several rooms.

In the middle of the pavilion is the Imperial Hall with an imperial trophy made of carved wood, stonework, jewels and mirrors and collections of rare objects.

The great hall is reserved for Indian manufacturers and traders from Calcutta and the major cities of Hindustan.

The Indigenous States of Baroda, Goualior and Punjab display works of art; Burma, two verandas and wood carvings.

Another hall contains the exhibition of commodities: coffee, tea, jute, etc.
