South Dakota - Expo Saint-Louis 1904

South Dakota at the Exhibition Expo Saint-Louis 1904

The South Dakota building is located in a small wooded area, almost opposite the Texas pavilion and near the crest of the Art Gallery.

The interior of the main hall is entirely covered with a decor of corn, grain and grasses as the main agricultural products of South Dakota.

The interior of the South Dakota pavilion is covered with dark cement, with porches, windows and ornaments painted in a sober manner so as not to "break" the simple structure of the building.

The building is 74 by 86 feet and cost $8,000.
